And then I started doing yoga which really recovered me. Now I am living my life in a better way and also achieving my goals.

In this article, I am gonna share the top 10 rules that successful people lived by and their stories too. These rules really helped me in achieving my goals.

1. SET THE GOAL

A.P.J Abdul Kalam was the 11th President of India from 2002 to 2007. He was also known as “Missile Man of India” cause of his work in space rocket technology. In one of his inspirational speech, he said you have to be a unique person. To be a unique person, one of the tool is to set goals. Set goals that help you in achieving your dreams. These goals should be important to you and you should be passionate about them that motivates you to keep going. Make a to-do list and check that list regularly that whether you are making your goals into action or not.

“Don’t read success stories you will only get a message. Read failure stories you will get some ideas to get success.”

-Abdul Kalam

2. DO WHAT YOU LOVE

Steve Jobs was the chief executive officer of Apple inc., and one of the great American businessman. He always believed that you need to love what you do. You should be passionate about your job, goals. A lot of people work hard just for earning but forget to live their life about what they actually love. Steve Jobs followed his passion and love for computers and built a successful company. So first find what you love the most and then fulfill the dream of achieving the goal that you love.

If you don’t love something, you’re not going to go the extra mile, work the extra weekend, challenge the status quo as much.

– Steve Jobs

3. KEEP YOUR DREAM ALIVE

Jack Ma is the founder and CEO of Alibaba Group ltd. He is one of the richest men in china. Alibaba’s secret success code is “keep your dream alive”. This code is the same as a fictional character Alibaba used “Open Sesame” to enter into a secret cave. Using this success code, Jack achieved his dreams. So keep your dream alive to achieve what you want. Just remind yourself about your dream daily and you’ll surely achieve it.

No matter how tough the chase is, you should always have the dream you saw on the first day. It will keep you motivated and rescue you from any weak thought.

4. HANDLE FAILURES

When you get failed in achieving something, you feel low and depressed. But these failures gives you the power to grow stronger and teaches you a lesson to learn from it. J.k Rowling, the author of the famous series of seven Harry Potter novels taught us how she handled failures and achieved her dreams. She became the ninth-best-selling fiction author of all time. She was suffering from clinical depression before achieving her dreams. She even thought about attempting suicide. But she started writing the series and through her imagination, she turned her depressing thoughts into fantasy dark world of harry potter series. We can also handle failures in our life by investing in ourselves or working on our hobbies.

Failure is so important. We speak about success all the time. It is the ability to resist failure or use failure that often leads to greater success. I've met people who don't want to try for fear of failing.
