Turn Defeat into Victory

How to Turn Defeat into Victory
Walt Disney has rightly said:
“Around here, however, we don’t look backwards for very long. We keep moving forward, opening up new doors and doing new things, because we’re curious… And curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.”

It has always been said that failures are stepping stones to success but how can one transform his defeat to victory. An ant who falls every time but never restricts itself from working again to reach its destination. Learning from your failures and not cursing the past will lead you to the path of victory. Every time you encounter a setback, just play the slogan “Keep Moving Ahead” on repeat mode in your mind.

The art of transforming every setback to your favour can be mastered with following steps:

Step1: Take out the time to review what happened. What went wrong? What could have been altered? Follow the mantra of REVIEW -> LEARN -> BEGIN.

Step2: Improve upon yourself. Be your critic to train yourself for perfection.

Step3: Avoid playing blame games. Rather work on being prepared for unexpected external situations that may occur in the future.

Step4: Try evolving with new approaches rather than being adamant on one thought. Make space for experimentation and be flexible in your approaches.

Step5: There is always a good part hidden. Try and explore it to motivate yourself for the next attempt. This will also help you in understanding your strengths and leveraging them in the future.

So just Get Up, reassess and return to the field with much higher vigor to win!

A real failure occurs when you give up and refrain from re- attempting. Failure does not exist until you have your spirits high and are open to incorporate the lessons. With accepting the defeats you get more power to face risks and shoot for stars. This marks the beginning when things start coming under your control and you are one step closer to the goal. A winner must always know how to transform his weaknesses into strengths and threats to opportunities. These skills differentiate him from others. The niche you develop for yourself by constant improvements makes you a part of the sustainable victory. A blend of acceptance and humility is what improves your capability.

Defeats never mean “the end”, they are new opportunities which will be attempted more intelligently. This will help you ascertain you have given your best shot by following the cycle of learning and improving. This victory will be much more fruitful indeed.
