Most of these gurus have no other business, it is just lies. It is their business to sell their success and make you believe that you too can have it.

Rise of Fake Gurus in India

We are sure you have seen them before.

It's usually someone with a whiteboard telling you how they will change your life through their 'secret' business opportunity or 10-Step Mastermind course. At worst there is a rented sports car, which the presenter claims is their own.

However, there is a far more widespread type of Fake Guru  

Business Growth Guru 

These figures advertise on LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram and provide get-read-quick  schemes and free information, packaged into an overpriced program or course. In our fast-paced digital world, there is an overwhelming amount of confusing and conflicting information about what you should be doing to grow your business. There are lots of different approaches, each with their own merits. (Everyone's business is different and needs an individual approach.) However, there are also fake gurus who provide golden services, programs and courses, but they fail to deliver any results that they have promised. did.

But don't trust seduction gurus with their fancy marketing campaigns.

Here are some red flags to spot a fake business guru:

If someone is showing cash as a part of their marketing, that tells you two things. 

Firstly, they are trying to target someone who is in dire need of money. Second, they use it as a way to try and prove themselves to people. Flashing cash is a distraction from their lack of substance. They only show the money they receive from people who fall for their marketing hoaxes.

Earned a lot of money but want to give back

This is the biggest pile of crap I have ever heard. Guru explains that he is so successful in his main business, so he has decided to start the course to help people. If you have earned millions on your services and programs, then you don't need to give someone £100 or pay £1000 for your mastermind course. Most of these gurus have no other business, it is just lies. It is their business to sell their success and make you believe that you too can have it.

A quick Google search on many of these gurus will turn up nothing. absolutely nothing. Gurus will claim that they have helped global businesses get listed on the stock market, yet you cannot find any proof. There is no website that mentions them, testimonials or even, in some cases, a business website. Would a global player do business with someone who doesn't exist?

I am writing this article because I keep getting offers from gurus all the time. I dig into their history a bit and I struggle to find anything about them. It is almost as if they appeared out of nowhere. Nowadays you can check the page history of social accounts and it is surprising how many of these gurus recently created their pages. I'm generally suspicious of anyone who uses the words guru, expert, or influencer when they talk about themselves. It doesn't mean everyone using those words is a fake-gurus, it just means I double check them. If you are an influencer, expert or guru, these are usually the words other people will use to refer to you.

Language and Emotional Blackmail 

These are proven strategies and methods for converting people into customers. They use persuasive language to bring out the emotion or strike a chord with the heart. It's a great way to get people to buy, and there's nothing wrong with that. This is good marketing. But, when it is used to persuade people to take in false promises, it is completely wrong.

Before I continue let me get a disclaimer here...

I'm not here to work on legitimate businesses or people who work hard for their customers and deliver something of value. I'm talking about businesses where your chances of getting the promised results you paid for are, well, long.

Manipulation

Finally, many of these gurus with manipulation bypass the common, common sense of their buyers. They know how to make their potential customers feel good. They can tell a great sob story or give a killer presentation. They aren't afraid to use strategic social engineering to convince you without endorsing their global and influential status. They will also talk about the scarcity and rarity of their services to lure you like 'I am opening my mastermind but can only take 5 people'. It's marketing parlance for 'I have none but five people to buy'. Scarcity and rarity can be used to help the buyer make a buying decision by fear of missing out.
