According to Interact/Harris Poll, 91 percent of 1000 employees complain that their leaders lack in communicating well. The study also showed the lack of Emotional Intelligence (EQ) in leaders and managers of the surveyed employees.
Here are the top 10 biggest mistakes made by the leaders or managers or Ceos:
#1. Lack of Well-behaved communication
Many of Coe’s or manager does not behave well with their employees. Being a manager of the company, it is your priority to keep your employees happy and try to make out the best from your employees. Many employees leave their job because of the work culture even they get paid a good amount of money.
The survey showed that managers or CEO's show low EQ, Bullying and being indecisive about their employees. They do not treat every employee equally.
So well-behaved communication is needed in every organization to keep your company running.
#2. Being a cheerleader when the team is losing
Being a CEO, you know that sometimes you may lose, so it is your priority to cheer up your team. Your positive thoughts and motivation matter most to your team, cause they believe in you. Even the smartest CEO lacks the skill of being a cheerleader, cause you are upset of losing.
#3. Consider your decision is the best, and ignore your staff's decision
Being in a higher position in the company makes you feel proud. You think, you are having a higher status and can rule the company. Well, many CEOs fails when they reach for this position and try to rule others and make the decision according to their need and ignores the decision of the other.
#4. Makes work culture only about work and job.
Employees need work-life balance but you tend to make a kind of culture where employees have to work for the whole day. You have made a boring kind of work culture where your staff does not like to work over there. If your employees are happy then you can reach your goals easily. This quality of any company matters causes it will help you to get the employees easily where the work is done with the fun elements and enjoyment.
#5. Not doing proper planning for your company
Some CEO lacks proper management cause of earning money and reaching to a higher position. They lacks in planning that they do not plan what crucial steps they need to take to reach their goals and enhance their companies reputation. Good managers need to be good at management if they lack management then they surely are not good for the company.
