Mob Lynching - A Crime
This is the burning topic of which is repeatedly roasted over media , news channels , news paper etc.
Here 1st we need to know what is #MobLynching " Lynching is a #Premeditated #Extrajudicial killing by a group. It is most often used to characterize informal public executions by a mob in order to punish an alleged #Transgressor, or to intimidate a group"
According to this a mob have right to put an individual to death, whosoever is him/her , whether their activities are punishable or not.
Just come to case studies
According to a Reuters report, a total of 63 cow vigilante attacks had occurred in India between 2010 and mid 2017, mostly since the Modi government came to power in 2014. In these attacks between 2010 and June 2017, "28 Indians – 24 of them Muslims – were killed and 124 injured", states the Reuter's report.
The 2015 Dadri mob lynching refers to case ofmob lynching in which a mob of villagers attacked the home of 52 year old Muslim man Mohammed Akhlaq, killing him, for suspicion of slaughtering a cow. The attack took place at night, on 28 September 2015 in Bisara village, near Dadri, Uttar Pradesh, India .
2016 Jharkhand mob lynching refers to the case of lynching of two Muslim cattle traders by allegedly Cattle-Protection Vigilantes in Balumath forests in Latehar district in Jharkhand on 18 March 2016. The attackers killed 32 years old Mazlum Ansari and 12 years old Imteyaz Khan who were found hanging from a tree.
According to India Today -:
The Jharkhand High Court has sought a report from the state government on the Tabrez Ansari lynching case and the subsequent #MobViolence.
The news which added fuel to this was-
Faisu, the #TikTok superstar, created a TikTok video with the members of Team 07. The TikTok video was allegedly about the launch of Tabrez. The video as per media reports upset many and the audience started #Trolling them for spreading hatred.
So putting an individual to death by mass of people is not justified.
