TOP RULES THAT SUCCESSFUL PEOPLE LIVE BY

TOP RULES THAT SUCCESSFUL PEOPLE LIVE BY
No one is born a success, but everyone has the potential to become one. As Will Smith once said, "Greatness is not this wonderful, esoteric, elusive god-like feature that only the special among us will ever taste. It's something that truly exists in all of us."
Although there is no single road to success, there are some distinctive guiding blueprints to get there. There are many rules shared by successful people all over the world but below are some of my favorite ones from the people we all admire – Oprah Winfrey, Steve Jobs, and Barack Obama.
These names do not need any introduction, so let’s dive in and tap into your innate greatness:
·        Understand the next right move
If you want to find the way through the challenge, ask yourself what is the right move? Find that right move and take action. Then from that space, make the next right move. Then from there, make another one.
This way you’ll never get overwhelmed tackling everything at once.
·        Focus on what you will do, not what you won’t do
Do you want to successfully lose weight, quit smoking, or put a lid on your bad temper? Then plan how you will replace bad habits with good ones, rather than focusing only on the bad habits themselves. Research on thought suppression has shown that trying to avoid a thought makes it even more active in your mind. The same holds true when it comes to behavior — by trying not to engage in a bad habit, our habits get strengthened rather than broken.
·        Gratitude Is a necessity
"Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend." - Melody Beattie
·        Believe in yourself
Just believe in yourself that you are here to achieve something bigger and greater. If you don’t believe in yourself, it doesn’t matter how talented you are or how big your dreams are. Nothing will work for you.
·        Learn from failures
You go through some failures in life, and the most important thing is to learn from those failures. Have a sense of resilience to be able to examine what it is that you didn’t succeed at, why didn’t you succeed and what do you need to do better to make it a success next time. If you are focused on accomplishing something, then even if you fail on a particular objective, you are still succeeding in learning how you can accomplish those goals.
·        There is no excuse for not trying
Where you are right now doesn’t have to determine where you’ll end up. No one has written destiny for you, because you write your own destiny, you make your own future. The most important thing is to try. Because there is NO excuse for not trying. You have to keep on trying until you succeed.
·        Be a realistic optimist
When you are setting a goal, by all means engage in lots of positive thinking about how likely you are to achieve it. Believing in your ability to succeed is enormously helpful for creating and sustaining your motivation. But whatever you do, don’t underestimate how difficult it will be to reach your goal. Most goals worth achieving require time, planning, effort, and persistence.
·        Take every moment as an opportunity
We are being prepared for ways that we don’t even realize. For every person, every single thing that has ever happened in their life is preparing you for the moment, that is to come. So, we need to embrace every moment of our life as a learning experience and move forward from there.
